Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Tent (tentapp.co) collects, why, and who it is shared with. It describes the live product — not a generic template. It is not a substitute for independent legal advice.
1. What we collect
Account. Email, full name, role (creator or advertiser), notification preferences, and onboarding status.
Profile. Creator: username, bio, niche, country/city, social handles and follower tiers, rate card, and delivery windows. Advertiser: brand name, website, and optional niche/budget preferences.
Identity and payouts. KYC status and verification outcomes (NIN/BVN / face checks via Smile ID). Bank name, account number, and account name needed to pay a verified withdrawal through Paystack. Wallet balances, escrow, and ledger entries.
Activity. Campaigns, applications, offers, proof URLs, deal-room messages, disputes, appeals, and in-app notifications.
2. How we use it
To run the marketplace: show eligible campaigns, process escrow and payouts, verify identity before withdrawals, let admins review social handles and disputes, and send the in-app or email notifications you have enabled.
Location is only shown to brands if you turn on location sharing in Settings. Directory search is manual (niche, city, platform, tier) — we do not sell access to an automated matching engine.
3. Who we share it with
Processors that operate the product: Supabase (database and auth), Paystack (top-ups, transfers, bank verification), Smile ID (KYC), Resend (transactional email), Upstash (rate limits), Vercel (hosting), and Sentry (error diagnostics). We do not sell personal data.
KYC documents and full bank account numbers are not shown to other users, are not written to client-side storage, and are not logged in application logs. Advertisers see the public profile you publish (name, handle, niche, city if shared, services).
4. Your controls
From Settings you can edit profile fields, notification preferences, location sharing, and (for advertisers) plan. You can request a copy or deletion of your account data by emailing privacy@usetent.co. Some ledger and KYC records are kept as long as we must to operate payouts, prevent fraud, and meet Nigerian data-protection (NDPR) and payment-partner requirements.
5. Cookies and session
We use session cookies required to keep you signed in. We do not run third-party advertising pixels on Tent.
