Terms of Service

Last updated 14 August 2026

These Terms describe how Tent (tentapp.co) works today for advertisers, creators, and admins. Creating an account, funding a campaign, or submitting proof means you agree to them. They are an operating description of the product, not a substitute for independent legal advice.

1. The platform

Tent is a two-sided marketplace. Advertisers discover creators, send direct offers, or publish campaigns. Creators apply, deliver proof, and withdraw earnings. Tent holds campaign and offer funds in escrow until work is approved, the review window ends, or a dispute is resolved.

Discovery is manual: niche, city, platform, and audience tier filters. Tent does not run an automated matching or routing engine.

2. Accounts and roles

You may sign up as a Creator or an Advertiser. Admin accounts are never self-provisioned. You are responsible for the email and password you use, and for activity on your account.

Tent may suspend or ban an account that is blacklisted, that reaches 3 strikes, or that we reasonably believe is being used for fraud. Banned users are limited to the ban notice and appeal flow.

3. Escrow and payments

When an advertiser funds a campaign or an accepted direct offer, the payout amount moves from available wallet balance into escrow and is recorded on a double-entry wallet ledger. NGN and USD are held in separate wallets and are never added together without an FX conversion record.

Escrow releases to the creator when proof is approved, or when the 72-hour auto-release window elapses without a dispute. Unclaimed campaign slots and lost disputes refund to the advertiser. Payments run through Paystack. Tent does not store raw card numbers.

4. Fees

Advertisers on Starter pay a 5% platform fee on top of campaign and offer funding, and may publish up to 30 marketplace campaigns. Premium is $19.99 or ₦29,985 per 30 days, charged from the advertiser wallet, and removes that funding fee with unlimited marketplace campaigns.

Of each agreed creator payout, the creator receives 80% and Tent retains 20%. Direct offers are unlimited on both plans.

5. Creators

Deliver work that matches the accepted brief, platform, and proof type. Submit a live link or screenshot through Tent — not only in DMs. Social handles on your public profile are self-reported until Tent reviews them; a "Verified by Tent" badge means an admin reviewed the handle, not that the social network authenticated it via OAuth.

Withdrawals require identity verification (NIN/BVN via Smile ID), a verified bank account, and are subject to a minimum of ₦1,000 or $10. Blacklisted creators and creators at the strike threshold cannot withdraw. One withdrawal may be in flight at a time.

6. Advertisers

Fund campaigns and offers you intend to run. Awarding a creator unlocks a deal-room thread for delivery notes until the job is completed. You review proof, request revisions, or open a dispute before escrow releases. Closing a campaign refunds unclaimed escrow to your available balance.

7. Disputes, strikes, and appeals

Either side may open a dispute while escrow is still locked. An admin reviews evidence and releases funds to the creator or refunds the advertiser. Repeated lost disputes can accrue strikes. 3 strikes suspend access pending appeal.

8. Changes

Tent may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be shown in-app or on this page with an updated date.
